(The remix of Pon Magal Vandhaal, I guess, has not been done by Rahman. The song is credited to Krishna Chetan. Also, the arrahman.com-exclusive-preview doesn't include the remix! This was expected because A.R.Rahman has always been against remixing someone else's tune - he said NO to S.J.Suryah when SJS asked him to remix "Pesuvadhu KiLiyaa" and later "Thottal poo malarum". He finally ended up retuning the latter instead of remixing.)

    i too thought the same after listening to the ponmagal vanthaal sample.....from the 5-10 secs sample it doesnt look rahmanish :)

    Songs look better than what Rahman gave for Ajith....looks like here Rahman had more say in the type of music...

    Varalaru BGM was simply mind blowing... athai vida better ah ATM BGM irukkum nu nambalam :D

    Maduraikku pogaadha dee.. its what makes you listen the second time.. Then Nee Marilyn Monroe kicks in with its Vali-esque lyrics.. Valayapatti thavile also soober.. rahman is wasted in the obligatory hero worshipping song.. altogether an album which we will hear a lot of in the next few months..

    it has a flavor of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal and Paruthi Veeran.. Review podu da!

    disappointing stuff from ARR except for couple of them. Sivaji is thousand times better than ATM. Nothing special for unbiased music lovers. In other words, yet another musical flop from ARR which will only be appreciated by ARR fans.

    Atleast now ARR realized that he needs to score music for the likes of Rajini and Vijay so that Tamil fans will remember him instead of wasting his talents for the likes of Madhavan and co. He even admitted in his interview in Sun TV that he needs to do one or two big movies in Tamil with stars who appeal to the mass unlike the ones who experiment like Surya, Kamal, Vikram and so on.

    For those who commented bad about Vijay, please understand that Vijay does not need to hide behind ARR's music to give a hit movie just like Rajini. For that matter, a mani sharma or Srikanth Deva could score decent numbers for Vijay movie. Go check out Pokkiri, Sivakasi that are chartbusters. These movies run for their stardom not for music unlike the useless Mani Ratnam, Madhavan co., who heavily bank on ARR's prowess to succeed. It is time you guys realize that. Even ARR would not think like this and I don't understand what is so funny about that comment where somebody mentioned that Vijay movie-kku ARR musicA? Grow up guys!!!

    Hello Mr. Vijay's diehard fan...

    Without Telugu Star Mahesh Babu, Vijay's identity would have been lost. Check out how many telugu movies have been remade for Vijay. Besides, name a movie that can match Kannathil Muthamittal (Manirathnam's direction, Madhavan's action and ARR's music). You seem to have lost the sense of appreciating good music and movies and have become part of mud faced Vijay fan herd.

    Your long awaited ATM has failed, inspite of ARR's music at box office and my deepest condolences for you and Vijay. Ask him to search for a hit Telugu movie for remake and all the best.

    Kannathil MuthamittAlA? Comdey keemedy paNNalaiyE. A movie that didn't even run for days. What was Mani Ratnam trying to convey in that movie. All your Mani Ratnam knows is to rehash terrorism in different ways (kinda like a sequel).

    Btw, you missed the context that I am also a fan of ARR and thats why I'm here. But, I only commented about people who think that Vijay's movies are bad and it is as though a blessing for Vijay to have ARR scoring music for his movies. ATM has failed-A? Did you watch the movie? I watched it in the theater and is a good entertainer. I think you need to differentiate b/w commercial movies and serious crap like Maniratnam's.

    Despite all that, Rahman has done a fantabulous work for this movie!
